The NFL's notoriously toughest player morphed into a smiling, cuddly teddy bear on Tuesday as Ndamukong Suh joined our #GiveBackPack in donating fully-stocked backpacks to 500 students in Miami. The STATE Rocs the Nation Summer Tour is officially in the books as 30,000 students linked to President Obama's My Brother's Keeper initiative are geared up for the school year. It's a dream come true for us...and just the beginning for bigger things to come!
Our "STATE Rocs the Nation Tour" trekked out to the west coast on Monday with an all-school bag drop rally at 42nd Street Elementary School in Los Angeles. The site was flooded with artists and athletes such as Grammy nominee, Big Sean, LA producer, DJ Mustard, radio giant, DJ Reflex, and undefeated boxer, Daniel Franco. It was double duty action for Scot and Jacq who hustled from the EXTRA Shoot at Universal Studios straight to the school for the drop. And it was a homecoming for DJ Mustard who was a graduate of 42nd Street Elementary School. The applause for him was deafening! Yet another fantastic day in the #SummerOfSTATE. And the #GiveBackPack train rolls on!
The State Rocs the Nation Summer 2016 Tour kicked off yesterday in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The voice of NYC, Angie Martinez and award winning musical artist, Santigold joined the STATE PackMen/Women and hundreds of kids at an epic, outdoor bag drop rally. Next stop on the tour... Los Angeles!
